“I‘ve just been refining my tuck, my equipment, the speed suit. Just the way that I skate the hill”Kyle Wester
On August 29, 2016, while on a van trip somewhere in the US, Kyle Wester completely crushed the standing world record for speed on a skateboard. The record was previously held by Eric Lundberg, when he reached 81.79mph on a hill in Quebec, Canada on June 7, 2016. That record was short lived as Wester, 29, from Denver Colorado, and friends, fine tuned techniques, skills and equipment. Less than three months later, on an undisclosed hill, Wester reached 89.41mph, completely blowing Lundberg’s record off of the pavement.
Congratulations to Kyle, his support team (aka, his bro’s) and his sponsors for achieving this remarkable feat.
